About me….

 

My name is Susan Ann Brook and I am a chartered physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) and trauma rehabilitation. I have been qualified for over 13 years and have worked in a number of sectors including the NHS, The MOD (DMRC Headley Court) and semi-professional rugby (Tonbridge Juddians).

 

My broad experience as a practitioner has allowed me to develop a number of treatment techniques including strength training, running/gait analysis, traditional and electro acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, extra-corporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), joint mobilisation and manipulation, taping, and scar management.

 

I believe in tackling the root cause to prevent chronic pain and recurrence of injuries, where possible. Using thorough biomechanical assessment  or running gait analysis, I am able to identify potential factors which may be contributing to pain. I am also able in complex trauma cases, to manage longer term rehabilitation allowing patients to achieve their goals.

 

Studying for a masters degree (MSc) in ‘Advanced Physiotherapy’ allows me to provide current evidence based practice in both my assessment or treatment. I have a patient centred approach to rehabilitation management and will always put my patients first.
